Countywide review and redesign of its supported bus network

Good afternoon,

As you will be aware, Leicestershire County Council is working on a countywide review and redesign of its supported bus network. The review is being undertaken in close collaboration with bus operators through the Leicestershire Enhanced Bus Partnership and working closely with them to explore how we can strengthen and stabilise their commercial networks.

The review of rural Charnwood & Harborough services is now complete and awaiting launch, which is due to commence on Monday 17 March 2025.

You should also expect a second email next week that will include timetables, maps and design assets – when they become available.

Our passenger transport team will be working closely with local libraries, schools and organisations to distribute timetables where necessary. Timetable booklets for each area will be available once phase 3 of the review is complete (expected June 2025). Phase 3 includes, South West, North West, Charnwood town and Harborough town services.
